[scene opens with Eve in a college library, speaking with an older female librarian (short brown hair, glasses, scarf around neck, blue sweater) at the front desk]
EVE: Hi.
[the librarian looks up and smiles]
LIBRARIAN: Hello. What do we have here?
[she takes the stack of books that Eve was holding]
LIBRARIAN: Let's see ...
[she turns her library card over in her hands with a puzzled look, then looks at Eve (as if in pity) and gives a forced smile, before pushing the card across the card (as if it was an imaginary barcode reader)]
LIBRARIAN: Beeeeep.
[as Eve looks at her in confusion, the librarian just continues smiling in a condescending fashion]
LIBRARIAN: Mmm, some good stuff.
[she hands the books and the card back to an incredulous Eve]
LIBRARIAN: Nice reading, dear.
