I've been around the world
Sailed the seven seas
Caught fish with Jimmy Houston
Amongst the cyprus trees
With a book in my left hand
Fishing pole in my right
The world is my oyster
Imagination's taking flight
The fishing librarian

Early in the morning
Before the break of dawn
Pour coffee in my thermos
And sing a fishing song
Spend the day out on the water
With family and friends
I'm hooked on books and fresh air
The adventures never end
For the fishing librarian

Come and travel with me
There's a whole world to see
With a library card
Your travel's always free
It's a great day to be outdoors
Nothing standing in our way
Don't matter if they're biting
It's a great fishing day
With the fishing librarian
