[scene opens with an overhead shot of someone holding a copy of "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish"]
NARRATOR: What is a public library?
[cut to someone sitting on a fire escape and holding an iPad]
NARRATOR: A public library is big.
[cut to various quick shots of different public libraries]
NARRATOR: A public library is beautiful. A public library goes everywhere, and lasts a lifetime. There's no right way or wrong way. It's crazy powerful. It's magical.
[the images move faster and faster]
NARRATOR: You already know how to use it. It has billions of references and counting.
[cut to a still image of two young students looking at books in the stacks, then back to various quick shots of different public libraries]
NARRATOR: All the world's information in your hands. It's video, photos, more books than you could read in a lifetime. It's always been a revolution, and it's only just begun ...
[cut to a still image of a person's shoes, with the text "Support A Public Library. Parody apologies to Apple and Peter Coyote. From stars and frogs to ice bear" appearing on screen]

From overdriveblogs.com:

We usually don't post random videos, but our Facebook likers (I think that's what we call them now) enjoyed this iPad commercial parody enough to warrant sharing it here too. I know it made me smile when I stumbled upon it last night.

It was created by Marcus Miller as part of a presentation for the SLA 2010 Annual Conference (held June 13-16 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans).
