[scene opens with Axl in the public library looking through a book on Norse mythology, when he stops at a drawing of "Odin the All-father" (which someone has defiled with a drawing of a large penis)]
[cut to a reaction shot of Axl, as he starts to laugh, when a young female librarian (glasses, long brown hair, blue dress) pushing a bookcart stops next to him and politely shushes him]
SONJA: Shh ...
[he looks up at her]
AXL: [whispers] Sorry.
[she smiles and continues pushing her bookcart, then cut to Axl back home having a beer with one of his brothers]
ANDERS: You do know you have my permission to fire at will, right?
AXL: After what happened last time? I think I'll give it a rest ...
ANDERS: Ah, there's a million possible reasons why Carla spazzed out. She was drunk and stoned. She's a professional athlete, so she's probably on steroids. After you left, she was fine ... She was great.
AXL: You're not Odin, are you?
[cut back to the library, as Axl hands the librarian a stack of books at the front desk]
SONJA: You're into Norse mythology?
AXL: Yes.
[she starts scanning the books in, when he nervously points at "The Big Book of Norse Gods" (the one that had the graffiti)]
AXL: It wasn't me who, um ... who drew on the book.
SONJA: Drew what on the book?
AXL: [pause] Stuff.
[she smiles and nods]
SONJA: Oh ... Thanks for the heads up.
[she continues scanning the books, as a young woman in the stacks stares at them while ominous music plays]

From wikipedia.org:

The Almighty Johnsons is a New Zealand fantasy comedy/drama television series, which was created by James Griffin and Rachel Lang and is produced by South Pacific Pictures. It began airing its first series of ten episodes in New Zealand on 7 February 2011.

The show follows a student named Axl Johnson, who on his 21st birthday discovers his family members are reincarnated Norse gods. The only problem is, they do not have full control of their powers and it is up to Axl (the reincarnation of Odin) to restore them and ensure the family's survival by finding the reincarnation of Odin's wife, Frigg. Matters are complicated by the presence of several antagonistic or amorously interested Norse deities, given that the Johnsons are not the only such demigods living in exile in New Zealand. At the close of the second series, it is revealed that they are not the only pantheon resident there either, as M?ori deities have also reincarnated, albeit in similarly restricted circumstances.

Axl meets and woos a librarian who claims to be Frigg; then finds she is referring to an online roleplaying game. Michele, who had caught wind of the apparent find, reveals the goddesses plans to Axl. Ty is infatuated with Helen, the goddess Iounn. When Olaf reveals that Iounn's destiny is to be with Bragi (Anders) and to suffer greatly, Ty decides to cut off his connections with her.

From thealmightyjohnsons.co.nz:

One of the things about Goddesses is that they can show up anywhere – be it in a library or at a bar. But whether they are the Goddess you're looking for is a whole other matter.

Axl is starting to notice strange new stuff in his Godly world – like how woman are paying more attention to him. Oracle Olaf puts this down to what might be called the 'zebra effect' which, once you get through Olaf-logic, translates as these women know there is something different about Axl, but they're not sure what. One of the women who seems to be paying attention to Olaf is a Sonja, a librarian. Axl likes it when she smiles at him – could she possibly be the Frigg?

Ty is also experiencing weird stuff when it comes to the ladies. An emergency call out to fix the beer fridge at an inner-city club leads to a passionate (but interrupted in an untimely fashion) encounter, over apple martinis, with Helen, the bar owner. In the throws of this passion Ty feels warmth he hasn't felt since before he became a God. Olaf feels this is a lot of women-related issues for one day and he needs to ponder this.

This leaves both Axl and Ty to chart their own course through life for a while, so Axl decides to take things further with Sonja; which is when she throws a huge curve-ball his way by confirming that yes, indeed, she is Frigg. Axl never ever imagined the Quest would be quite this easy. His brothers are also suspicious, but give Axl the go-ahead to pursue Sonja. So Axl does, and gets thrown yet again when Sonja invites him to a party of Gods at her house.

Meanwhile Ty takes things further with Helen – and starts to fall in love with her, like he does so often. But when he and Helen finally consummate their lust, it starts snowing – in Ty's living room. Out of this unusual occurrence it emerges that Helen is, in fact, the Goddess Idun, granter of youthfulness.

But when Ty takes this news to Olaf, the family Oracle has bad news for him, for as Odin is destined to be with Frigg, Idun/Helen's destiny lies not with Hod/Ty but with Bragi/Anders. If Helen ever claps eyes on Anders, she will fall madly in love with him – and will not end well for Helen. In this moment Ty's heart is broken (again) as he realises that he can never be with Helen.

Axl, meanwhile, goes to the God-party and discovers that: (a) Sonja is only the Goddess Frigg in a Norse-mythology-themed online game; and that (b) the actual Goddesses, in the form of Michele, have got there before him. In the swordfight that follows Axl learns that there is an alliance of Goddesses dedicated to stopping Axl/Odin achieving his Quest. In this way the Johnson boys learn that they are fighting a war.

Ty breaks up with Helen/Idun – which she seems to take in her stride much easier than he does. Olaf attempts to console him over a drink – but is of no consolation of all. Then Dawn enters the bar, fleeing a hen party gone feral. And she smiles at Ty and he smiles back.

Season 1 | Episode 3 | "God's Gift to Zebras" | Aired July 25, 2014

So we continue on Axl's quest to find his Frigg and the 21-year-old has become a walking Axe ad. Yep, it seems like ever since Axl became Odin, the ladies are just drawn to him. But are they Frigg? Who the heck knows! Though he does spot a very cute librarian who also has a shared interest of Norse gods.

At the same time, Ty meets a lady club owner and has "felt something he has never felt before." Ty actually feels warm when he is with this woman, a feeling he has not had since becoming Hodor. Who do two brothers who happen to be gods talk to about their lady problems? Duh, Grandpa Olaf. After calling Axl a zebra and Ty a reindeer, Olaf advises Axl that only he will know if the librarian is Frigg. As for what is happening in Ty's love life, Olaf has to think about it.

Axl continues to somewhat stalk the librarian, Sonja (Antonia Prebble). Little does he know that he is actually being stalked by Stacey, who reports to the other goddesses everything Axl does.

During one of his encounters with Sonja, they chat about Norse gods and she admits that she is the Frigg. Completely confused with everything that is going on, the four brothers and grandpa head to the library to not so discreetly check out this possible Frigg.

The boys regroup and Axl decides to ask Sonja out for coffee to learn more about her, even after being completely freaked out by the fact that Frigg is the goddess of marriage. During their coffee date, Sonja gives Axl even more reason to believe that she is Frigg.

Ty goes on a date with the lady club owner, Helen (Sara Wiseman), and the two really hit it off. We later find out that the reason the two are getting along so well is the fact that Helen is a goddess. The day after their date, Olaf pays a visit to Ty and informs him that Helen, being the goddess Eve, is destined to be with Bragi aka Anders. Thus, she leaves Ty heartbroken and forces him to break things off with Helen.

Axl goes back to the library to ask Sonja on another date. Sonja then invites Axl to a god party she is hosting at her flat. Stacy listens to the conversation nearby and goes running off to tell the other goddesses. Agentha (Alison Bruce), who is the leader of the goddesses, informs Michele she will also be attending this god party. The goddesses' mission is simple: stop Axl from finding Frigg first.

Axl attends the god party only to be greeted by another girl who refers to herself as Frigg, it does not take Axl long to realize that these people are not really gods but are a bunch of nerds cosplaying (I mean that in the kindest way). Axl goes to confront Sonja only to come face to face with Michele in the hall. The two put on a very entertaining show for the partygoers as they begin to sword fight.

Michele runs off after pretty much kicking Axl's bum. Axl follows her and wrestles her to the ground. Michele then enlightens Axl on why goddesses hate gods; here, in this country without their full powers, goddesses rule. The brothers are now fully aware that they have a race on their hands.

From wikia.com:

Sonja is an acquaintance of Axl Johnson. She was at one time implied to be the Goddess Frigg, though this later turned out to be based on a misunderstanding.

First Appearance: God's Gift To Zebras
Played By: Antonia Prebble
Gender: Female
Occupation: Librarian

Biography
She first met Axl when he was researching Norse Gods and Mythology in the library when he decided to get some books out. She wasn't happy to learn that someone had drawn "stuff" in one of the books and thanked Axl for the heads up. When he returned the books the next day she admitted she was also into Norse Gods, and during their conversation implied that she was the Goddess Frigg, and thought it was a coincidence as Axl was Odin, and their God selves were destined to be together. Axl later asked Sonja out for a coffee. She was bewildered by his seemingly mixed-up comments that his brothers and grandfather were also Gods, but set it aside as she complained that other Gods called her a slut when she was only spreading love as Frigg does. The next day, Sonja was asked out for a proper drink, but she was already going to a party, but invited Axl along as it was a God party. That night Axl learned she was not Frigg in real life, only in an online reality game based on North Mythology. Axl spotted Sonja as he was leaving, but she started yelling at him, fearing she was his next victim because a real Goddess, Michele (who had also thought her to be Frigg) told her that he was a sexual predator. Sonja watched as Axl and Michele fought, but before the fight went outside, Michele kissed her, and implied that they had slept together. (God's Gift To Zebras)
