[cut back to behind the wall, as the mice hang up the letters "K" and "M"]
SINGERS: Behind the wall where no one can see ... Look twice!
[cut to various shots of the mice in the library reading books]

KATE: Ooh, this makes me so mad! This is the third time this week that someone has played one of these stupid practical jokes!
[she starts picking up the pieces of the pot and sighs]
KATE: Oh, Misses Keaton will be just furious!
[cut to two of the mice spying on the woman from inside a nearby wall]
NORBERT: Who do you suppose is doing this?
ZAZI: I don't know, but there's got to be a way to find out!
NORBERT: Yeah, it may be funny for them, but it sure isn't funny for Kate!
ZAZI: Wait a minute!
NORBERT: Zazi, you've got that look in your eye ... What are you thinking?
ZAZI: Come on, let's find Leon ... I've got an idea!

[...]

[the library assistant is taking a VHS tape out of the VCR, as the mice spy on her from inside the wall]
ZAZI: Hmm, so far so good! Everything seems to be fine today ... no sign of any stupid stunts!
[cut back to the library assistant, as she ejects the tape]
KATE: Now, where is that container?
[she reaches for some VHS boxes underneath the VCR, then recoils in horror and screams when she notices a large rubber spider]
[cut back to the three mice, as they gasp]
ZAZI: Oh no, it's happened again!
NORBERT: Poor Kate!
[the third mouse, however, looks away and tries to stifle a laugh ... but tries to brush it off when he notices the other two are looking at him]
LEON: Oh, uh ... it's terrible! It's just terrible!
[cut back to the library assistant, as she picks up the spider]
KATE: Oh, I am so tired of these ridiculous practical jokes!
[she gets up and storms off in a huff, then cut back to the three mice behind the wall]
ZAZI: This Prankster character has just gone too far!
NORBERT: Yeah, it's not funny anymore!
LEON: Oh? I dunno, I thought it was kinda funny ...
ZAZI: It is not, Leon! This joker doesn't know when to stop!
[Leon mocks her in a condescending tone]
LEON: Well then, why don't you try to catch him, huh?
ZAZI: We will!

Bookmice (1991- )
TV Series - 30 min

The main characters in this TVO kids' series were three puppet mice who lived behind the wall in a library, and didn't always get along. Their names were Zazi, Norbert, and Leon. They made friends with certain kids who regularly came to the library, but always had to make sure that no librarian was ever aware of their presence in the building! The mice were often visited by the Wiz of Wonder, a wizard who was a friend of theirs, and eventually started working in the library in disguise, going by the name Mr. Flower. There was also a puppet feline in the show named Exit, who often caused trouble in the lives of the mice while he was around. Zazi, Norbert, and Leon often encountered some other interesting visitors as well.
