SEAN: And we wanna learn about lobsters!
[Chica the Chicken nods and makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Yeah, so we're gonna go to the library!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Alright! And we'll ask the librarian to help us!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Alright, you ready?
[he turns to Chica, and she makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Okay ... Oh, I better get my library card ready so we can check out a book!
[he takes a library card out of his pocket, then turns and addresses someone off camera]
SEAN: Oh, hello librarian!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Hi, we were looking for a book on, uh ...
[he turns to Chica]
SEAN: What was it you wanted, Chica?
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Oh yeah, like uh ... a fish or an ocean creature.
[Chica the Chicken nods and makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: It's red?
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Um, yeah. What ... what was it again?
[an unseen female librarian reaches in and hands him a red book]
SEAN: Oh! Let's see ... Thank you!
[he opens the book and thumbs through the pages]
SEAN: Uh, oh, this is a book on starfish.
[Chica the Chicken shakes her head and makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: No, we were looking for a book on ... it's got a hard shell and claws!
[Chica the Chicken nods and makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Yeah ...
[the librarian reaches in and hands him a book with a cartoon lobster on the cover]
SEAN: Oh!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: A lobster!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: That's right! Okay, so we don't need this one ...
[he hands the red book back to the librarian]
SEAN: But thank you so much for helping us find the book!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Oh, librarians help us to find books that we want!
[Chica the Chicken nods and makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: That's really cool!

SEAN: Alright, well let's take a look and learn more about lobsters!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise, as he opens the book and thumbs through the pages]
SEAN: Look at the great pictures, just like this picture of the lobster!
[he points to the cartoon lobster on the cover, as Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Neat!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Oh, they're called crustaceans!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: That's right!
[the unseen librarian reaches her hand into the scene and wags a finger]
LIBRARIAN: [from off camera] Shhh ...
[Chica the Chicken makes a (quiet) squeaking noise]
SEAN: Oh ... Shhh.
[he puts a finger to his lips and shushes himself]
SEAN: Right, there are other people trying to learn.
[Chica the Chicken nods and makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: So we have to be quiet.
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: We can help the librarians by ...
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise, as he puts a finger to his lips]
SEAN: Shhh, being quiet.
[Chica the Chicken nods and makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Okay ...
[he goes back to reading the book]
SEAN: Well, uh ... Look at this, Chica.
[he points at one of the pages]
SEAN: Most lobsters have eight legs and two claws.
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Can you imagine having eight legs?!
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise, as Sean gets louder]
SEAN: Wow!
[the unseen librarian reaches in and places a "Quiet Please" sign on the table in front of them]
LIBRARIAN: [from off camera] Quiet, please ...
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Oh, right ... I forgot.
[Chica the Chicken makes a (quiet) squeaking noise]
SEAN: We're supposed to be quiet, please.

SEAN: Alright ... Yeah, there are other people trying to read in the library.

SEAN: Oh, Chica! Look at this last one ...
[he points at one of the pages]
SEAN: Yeah, you--
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: Yeah. Yeah, y'see that? They swim backwards by curling their tail.
[Chica the Chicken makes a squeaking noise]
SEAN: It helps them to swim quickly.

SEAN: Nice ... Alright, shh! We'll be quiet.

SEAN: Alright, well, let's check this book out.
[Chica the Chicken nods and makes a squeaking noise, while Sean turns to the librarian off camera]
SEAN: Alright, we'd like to check this book out! Here's my card!
[he reaches off camera and hands the card to the librarian]
SEAN: Great!
[the librarian reaches in and hands him a CD with a piece of pink paper]
SEAN: Oh!

The Sunny Side Up Show is a television programming block introduced on September 26, 2007 on PBS Kids Sprout. Each week, a new theme is introduced (shown on the website), including food, Halloween, animals, construction, fall, opposites, and birthdays. The Sunny Side Up Show starts at 9:00am Eastern/8:00am Central each weekday morning. The host of the Sunny Side Up Show plays games, sings songs, tells stories, and shows birthday cards or shows artwork. The show has a puppet co-host, a chicken named Chica.
