[the player enters the library/gym section of Nacrene Museum, where an older man stands in the way]
GYM GUIDE: A Pokemon Gym where a leader waits for a challenger at the back of a museum ... It has a great atmosphere, doesn't it? So, I will give you this!
["Player received Fresh Water!" appears on screen]
GYM GUIDE: All Trainers in this Gym use Normal-type Pokemon. This is just between you and me ... Normal-type Pokemon are weak against Fighting-type Pokemon. Around here, Fighting-type Pokemon show up around Pinwheel Forest. Now, I will explain about the Gym itself!
[he pauses]
GYM GUIDE: In this Pokemon Gym, if you answer questions hidden in books, you can move forward. For your information, the first book is "Nice to Meet You, Pokemon." If you don't know where the book is, please ask anyone!
[he stands aside, as the player enters the library and is stopped by a young trainer]
CARTER: I hang around Nacrene Gym all the time. People call me a bookworm. I'll warn you now ... I am strong because I spend the entire day either reading books or training Pokemon.
["You are challenged by School Kid Carter!" appears on screen, as the player defeats the trainer's Patrat in a Pokemon battle]
CARTER: I may be a bookworm, but I am not a bug Pokemon.
["Player defeated School Kid Carter!" appears on screen, then cut back to the library]
CARTER: My first recommendation is a book called "Nice to Meet You, Pokemon." The bookshelves for children's books are close to the entrance.
[the player heads for the first bookshelf and climbs up onto the stepstool]
NARRATOR: This is the bookshelf for "Children's Books" ... "Nice to Meet You, Pokemon!" Do you want to read this book?
[the player selects "Yes"]
NARRATOR: It's a fairy tale about a little boy who met a Pokemon for the first time in his life. He is with a small brown Pokemon.
[an exclamation point appears above the player's head]
NARRATOR: There is a memo between the pages ... "Pokemon Trainers! I am the Gym Leader, Lenora! I hid four memos in this library. Each of them has a question. Can you solve the questions and come fine me? Now, this is the first question! 'What is the first Pokemon you met in this Gym?' The hint is ... on a bookshelf in the middle row! Now, try to find it!"
[the player heads for another bookshelf]
NARRATOR: This is the bookshelf for "Pokemon" ... "The Biology of Patrat." Do you want to read this book?
[the player selects "Yes"]
NARRATOR: It describes the biology of Patrat. They communicate with each other by movement of their tails. A Patrat raises its tail when it sees an enemy.
[an exclamation point appears above the player's head]
NARRATOR: There is a memo on the back cover ... "As I thought, that question was easy. Well, this is the second question! 'Flame burns inside its body, and it gives off smoke from its head while it runs. What is this book?' The hint is ... Somebody may be reading it."
[the player walks up to a young woman standing on a stepstool near another bookshelf]
SATOMI: [pause] Hmhm. I see ... Oh! Did you find the memo and come here to look for this book? What does the memo say?
[she reads the note]
SATOMI: "Flame burns inside its body, and it gives off smoke from its head while it runs" ... I'm reading a book called "The Structure of a Locomotive." Is this book the correct answer?
[the player selects "Yes"]
SATOMI: Oh! That is correct! "Flame burns inside its body, and it gives off smoke from its head while it runs" ... That's exactly how a locomotive looks! Well, I'll let you read this book. But before that ... it would be great for my research if we had a Pokemon battle.
["You are challenged by Scientist Satomi!" appears on screen, as the player defeats the trainer's Herdier in a Pokemon battle]
SATOMI: I've never known anyone so powerful. My head is empty compared to yours!
["Player defeated Scientist Satomi!" appears on screen, then cut back to the library]
SATOMI: Return a book to a shelf after reading ... This is a rule when you read a book.
[she gets off the stepstool and moves aside, as the player checks the shelf]
NARRATOR: This is the bookshelf for "General Studies" ... "The Structure of a Locomotive." Do you want to read this book?
[the player selects "Yes"]
NARRATOR: This is a book about a locomotive. Flames burn inside its body, and it gives off smoke from its head while it runs by using steam power.
[an exclamation point appears above the player's head]
NARRATOR: There is a memo on the back cover ... "It's impressive you found this place! That's what I'd expect from a challenger like you! Well, this is the third question! 'If you heat it up in a pot, it'll be delicious. What is this?' The hint is on a bookshelf closer to the entrance than here!"
[the player walks up to another bookshelf]
NARRATOR: This is the bookshelf for "Children's Books" ... "Sweets for Pokemon." Do you want to read this book?
[the player selects "Yes"]
NARRATOR: It describes delicious sweets made by heating Berries in a pot. There are sweets called "Poffins" made from Berries in the faraway Sinnoh region, and Pokemon love them!
[an exclamation point appears above the player's head]
NARRATOR: There is a memo on the cover ... "Did you manage to get here without being tricked by the questions? Now, this is the last question! 'From this bookshelf, move two backward, move one to the left, move two forward, move one to the right, and move one backward. Now, where is it?' The hint is ... Find it by yourself!"
[the player walks up to a little girl standing on a stepstool near another bookshelf]
LYDIA: [pause] I'm wondering, did you see the last memo and come to me? Okay, I'll give you the last question! "Can you challenge the Gym Leader if you win against me?"
[the player selects "Yes"]
LYDIA: Tee hee! That is correct! Well, here we go, Trainer!
["You are challenged by School Kid Lydia!" appears on screen, as the player defeats the trainer's Lillipup in a Pokemon battle]
LYDIA: Oh, wow! I lost, but thanks for a great battle!
["Player defeated School Kid Lydia!" appears on screen, then cut back to the library]
LYDIA: You'll meet the Gym Leader soon. This is the last book ... Now! Read the last book!
[she gets off the stepstool and moves aside, as the player checks the shelf]
NARRATOR: This is the bookshelf for "Pokemon" ... "The Biology of Tepig." Do you want to read this book?
[the player selects "Yes"]
NARRATOR: It describes the biology of Tepig. Flame burns inside its body, and it gives off flames from its nostrils. When it's not well, it can give off only smoke.
[an exclamation point appears above the player's head]
NARRATOR: There is a memo between the pages ... "You've managed to get here. Well done! You seem to have wisdom as well as strength! I look forward to our battle! Gym Leader Lenora"
["Click! There is a switch under the book!" appears on screen, as the bookshelf moves aside to reveal a hidden staircase]
NARRATOR: Wow! A hidden staircase!
[the player goes down the stairs, which leads to a room where the Gym Leader is standing]
LENORA: Welcome! The director of the Nacrene Museum and the Nacrene Gym's Leader is me! Lenora! Well then, challenger, I'm going to research how you battle with the Pokemon you've so lovingly raised!
["You are challenged by Leader Lenora!" appears on screen, as the player battles the gym leader's Herdier]
LENORA: Now, with that move, I'm starting to see what kind of trainer you are!
[the player defeats the Herdier, as the gym leader sends out a Watchog]
LENORA: No matter how grim the situation, I'll use my research skills to find a winning strategy!
[the player defeats the Watchog, as "Player defeated Leader Lenora!" appears on screen]
LENORA: My theory about you was correct. You're more than just talented ... You're motivated! I salute you!
[cut back to the library]
LENORA: Your fighting style is so enchanting. It is charming. You are a Pokemon Trainer worthy of receiving this Basic Badge!
["Player received the Basic Badge from Lenora!" appears on screen]
LENORA: If you have two Badges, traded Pokemon up to Lv. 30 will obey you. Here, I also want you to have this TM.
["Player obtained a TM67 Retaliate!" appears on screen]
LENORA: Retaliate does a lot more damage if an ally fainted the turn before you use it! If you master the timing, you can defeat even strong opponents.
HAWES: [from off camera] Deeear!
[her husband enters the scene]
HAWES: Dear! Come quickly! Team Plasma is threatening to steal some bones!
LENORA: What? What's going on?!
[she turns to the player]
LENORA: Player! You come, too!
[they both run off camera, then the player exits the library and finds the two confronting members of Team Plasma in the museum section]
LENORA: Now, you wait! Enough fooling around!
TEAM PLASMA MEMBER 1: So you've come, Gym Leader. We, Team Plasma, claim this museum's Dragon Skull in the name of Pokemon liberation!
[the camera pans over to a Pokemon skeleton in the middle of the room]
TEAM PLASMA MEMBER 2: To show you we're serious, we'll steal it right before your eyes!
TEAM PLASMA MEMBER 1: Well then, here's our smoke screen!
[puffs of smoke appear, as the members of Team Plasma (and the skull) disappear]
LENORA: What's going on?
[she runs off camera]
HAWES: Oh! Oh! We have to go after them!
[the player exits the museum, where he finds Lenora looking up and down the street as a young man approaches]
BURGH: Good day, Lenora. Find any good fossils lately?
LENORA: This is a surprise visit! Are you suffering from artist's block again?
[she turns to the player]
LENORA: Player! This is Burgh. He may not look like it, but he's Castelia City's Gym Leader!
BURGH: Eh? Just looking for a change of pace. Seems hectic or something around here. What's up?
LENORA: What's up?! Someone just walked away with an exhibit, that's what's up!
[a young girl enters the scene]
BIANCA: Oh hi, Player! What's everybody doing here?
[a young boy enters the scene]
CHEREN: Player, is there some kind of problem?
LENORA: And these two are ... your friends?
[she pauses]
LENORA: Bianca and Cheren ... Oh, I see. They're Trainers. Okay, then. Let's split up and search. I'll head this way.
[she heads towards the right side of the screen]
LENORA: Everyone! Cheren and Bianca, I want you to stay here at the museum. Burgh and Player, you two search Pinwheel Forest! Got it? Burgh, you show the way! I'm counting on you, everyone!
[she runs off camera]
BURGH: Uh huh. You are ... Player, is it? Are you raring to round up our robbers?
[he walks off camera]

From wikipedia.org:
Lenora (Japanese: Aloe) appears in Pokemon Black and White as the Gym Leader of Nacrene City's Gym. She is an African American woman with blue hair.
She is the co-curator of the Nacrene City Museum, who maintains its library in addition to serving as the Gym Leader of the Nacrene Gym.
She appears again in Pinwheel Forest after the player defeats Team Plasma, where she gives the player a Moon Stone. She also reappears at N's Castle where she and the other Unova Gym Leaders hold off the Seven Sages.
In the summer, she visits Cynthia at Undella Town.
---
From bulbagarden.net:
The Nacrene Gym (Japanese: Shippou Gym) is the official Gym of Nacrene City. It is based on Normal-type Pokemon. The Gym Leader is Lenora. Trainers who defeat her receive the Basic Badge.
The Nacrene Gym is in the back of the Nacrene Museum. The Gym consists of a library and a downstairs room, in which Gym Leader Lenora is located. The library contains numerous large bookshelves; 5 of these bookshelves have small step ladders in front of them. When the player walks up these ladders, the player can interact with a book. Players must find the memos within the books and answer the questions in them by finding another book. After finding all of them, one of the bookshelves will move aside, letting the player reach the lower room.
The lower room contains two glass cabinets with artifacts in them. Lenora is situated in the middle of the room. At the back of the room, there are more bookshelves around the edge of the room, with a poster of the Gym logo in the center. There is also a small table with books and paperwork on it.
Once Lenora is battled, defeated and she gave the player the Badge, Lenora's husband Hawes rushes in and tells Lenora about Team Plasma's plan to steal the Dragon Skull from the museum. Lenora, Hawes, and the player then exit the Gym back into the museum.

[Inside the museum]
Hmm! Every time I behold this skeleton... it's simply charming!
(He turns around.)
Oh, hello. I'm the vice-curator, Kidachi.
You've come a long way. Allow me to guide you around the building!
This skeleton... It's from a dragon-type Pokemon.
Perhaps there was some form of disaster while it still roamed the lands, leaving it to fossilize like so.
(Walks over to a meteorite.)
This is an impressive stone. It's a meteorite!
It would appear to contain some kind of mystical space energy.
(Walks over to a rock.)
Ah, this is... just a plain old stone.
It was found in the desert, but the only value it has going for it is that it's old...
But it's quite pretty, so we put it up on display.
(Walks up to the back.)
Beyond here, the museum becomes a Pokemon gym.
Furthest in, you'll find the strong, yet kind gym leader awaiting.
Oh... and by the way, gym leader Aloe is my wife.
[Inside the gym]
Guide: Further into the museum, a Pokemon gym awaits challengers... Atmospheric, don't you think?
That said, take this!
[White obtained Fresh Water!]
[White put the Fresh Water in the Medicine pocket.]
This gym is full of Trainers that use normal-type Pokemon.
And just between us... Normal-type is weak to fighting.
And you're sure to find some fighting-type Pokemon near Yaguruma Forest, so...
Now, let me explain the gym itself!

Whenever you're not sure where a book is, listen to what everyone has to say!

My first recommendation is "Hello, My Pokemon". It's on the shelf for children's books near the entrance.

He takes a little brown Pokemon along with him.
There's a note stuck in the pages...!
"LadyTrainers and gentleTrainers! This is gym leader Aloe!
There are four questions hidden in books in this library.
Can you answer those questions and get to me?! Now, the first question!
Q. What was the first Pokemon you met in this gym?
Here's a hint... it's a book in the middle row! So go look for it!"
(Young girl on stepladder, after reading the first question:)
Good day, Trainer!
So you found a note and are looking for a Pokemon book, huh?
Oho! Well, actually, I'm reading a book on Pokemon too.
...Er, this one's about Pokabu.
Wasn't the first Pokemon you met in this gym a Pokabu? [ Yes / No ]
[ Yes ]
Oho! That's too bad!
The first Pokemon you met here wasn't a Pokabu!
Try to remember which Pokemon you fought at the gym's entrance.
A hint: check the shelves to the left!
[ No ]
Oho! Right you are!
What WAS the Pokémon you fought at the gym's entrance, then?
A hint: check the shelves to the left!
(Reading the Minezumi book after talking to the girl:)
There's a note on the last page...!
"That question was pretty simple for you, right? Now for the second one!
Q. Flame burns in its body, and it runs with smoke coming out its head... What book fits with that?!
Here's a hint... Somebody may be reading it?!"
(Young girl on stepladder, after reading the second question:)
You found the second note and are looking for a book?
...Well, what did it say?
"Flame burns in its body, and it runs with smoke coming out its head..."
Well, I'm reading a book about Pokabu ... You think this is the right book? [ Yes / No ]
[ Yes ]
Oho! Nope, sorry!
Here's what this Tepig book here says ...
"Flames burn within them and blaze out their nostrils, but when they're not feeling well, only smoke can come out."
"Smoke coming out its head..." That's not quite right.
...Perhaps the answer to the riddle isn't a creature at all? Who knows! Oho!
(Scientist girl on stepladder after reading the second question:)
...Hm, yes... I see...
Oh! You're looking for a book because of a note you found? What did it say?
"Flame burns in its body, and it runs with smoke coming out its head..."
And I'm reading "Locomotive Construction"! Is this the correct book? [ Yes / No ]
[ Yes ]
Oh! And correct you are!
"Flame burns in its body, and it runs with smoke coming out its head..."
Yes, that's a locomotive! Well, I'll let you read this book. But first...
I'd appreciate it if you could have a Pokemon battle with me for my research!
[ No ]
Ooh... Sorry, no!
"Flame burns in its body, and it runs with smoke coming out its head..."
Yes, that's a locomotive!
...Well, I'll let you read this book anyway for trying. But first...
I'd appreciate it if you could have a Pokemon battle with me for my research!
(Battle.)
Your strength ... it surpasses my wisdom!
Return a read book back to its shelf... That's a book-reading rule.
(Reading the book behind the scientist girl once she moves:)
It's a shelf for books on society.
Read the book "Locomotive Construction"? [ Yes / No ]
[ Yes ]
Writings concerning locomotives.
They run on steam power provided by the flames burning inside them, letting out smoke on the way!
There's a note on the back cover...!
"I see you've made it this far! Maybe it means you could challenge me? Well, here's the third question!
Q. What becomes tasty when you simmer it all around in a pan?
Hint: a book close to the entrance!"
(Reading the Poffin book after reading the third question:)
There's a note in the afterword...!
"None of the questions have stuck you yet, huh? Okay, here's the last one!
Q. From this bookshelf... Go up two, left one, back two, right one, and up one... where are you?
As for a hint...? Well, just try it out yourself!"
(Young girl on stepladder after reading the last question:)
...So I suppose you read the last note and ended up at me!
Well, I'm here to give you the last question!
"Q. If you beat me, will you be able to get to the gym leader?" [ Yes / No ]
[ Yes ]
Oho! Correct!
So let's go, Trainer!
[ No ]
Ooh! Too bad!
But I'll tell you the answer if you beat me!
(Battle.)
Wooooow! I lost, but still, thanks for the battle!
You'll meet the gym leader soon. Here's the last book!
Well, go on! Read it!
(Reading the book behind the young girl once she moves:)
It's a shelf for books on Pokemon.
Read the book "Pokabu Anatomy"? [ Yes / No ]
[ Yes ]
Writings on the anatomy of Pokabu.
Flames burn within them and blaze out their nostrils, but when they're not feeling well, only smoke can come out.
There's a letter stuck in the pages...!
"You made it! You don't have just brawn, but brains! I look forward to fighting you! - Gym Leader Aloe"
Click!
There was a switch under the book!
(The bookshelf moves. Very slowly.)
Whoa! A staircase appeared!
Hello there!
I'm the curator of the Shippo City museum and gym leader of Shippo Gym.
That's right, I'm Aloe!
So then, my challenger, just how do you fight with your lovingly-raised Pokemon? Allow me to study you!
Gym Leader Aloe challenged you to a battle!
(After one hit:)
Aha, NOW I get to see what kind of Trainer you are!
(After sending out last Pokemon:)
Even in these circumstances, I can find a way to win!
(End of battle:)
Now that was really something! Ain't you just charming!
That battle was just indescribable! I was in a trance!
You're just the right Pokemon Trainer to give this Basic Badge to!
[White received the Basic Badge from Aloe!]
With two badges, any Pokemon up to Level 30'll listen to what you say!
Also, you oughta take this TM, too!
[White obtained TM67 "Vengeance"!]
[White put the TM67 in the TMs & HMs pocket.]
If an ally Pokemon was defeated on the previous turn, Vengeance will have double the power!
If you learn to master it, it can take down some formidable foes!
Honey!!
(Kidachi runs in.)
Kidachi: Honey!! This is bad! Very bad!!
These Team Plasma guys were all, "We'll take this skull!", and...
Aloe: What're you talkin' about?! What do you mean?!
White! You come with!
(Aloe runs out really fast.)
Aloe: Hold up, you! Stop foolin' around!!
Grunt: Oh, you came, gym leader?
We're going to take this museum's Dragon Skull for our cause of liberating Pokemon!
Grunt: And to show you we're serious, we'll do it right before your eyes!
Grunt: Alright! Smokescreen! ("Plasmaaaaa!" "Plasmaaaaa!")
(They smokescreen away with the Dragonite skull.)
Aloe: What in the name of...
(Aloe runs out.)
Kidachi: Uh... uh?! We've got to chase them down!
???: Hey, Miss Aloe! Found any good fossils?
Aloe: And are you out lookin' for inspiration again?
White!
Take a good look at this guy, 'cause he's Arti, Hiun Gym's leader!
Arti: ...Hmm? Is it just me, or is something off about you?
Could there have been... some kind of trouble, maybe?
Aloe: You bet there is!! They've got one of my exhibits!
(Belle walks in.)
Belle: Heyyy, uh, White? Why's everyone bunched up here?
(Cheren also walks in.)
Cheren: ...Is there a problem, White?
Aloe: What's all this, then? These kids... they friends of yours?
... ... ... .. ... ...
Belle and Cheren... alright, you must be Trainers!
Then let's split the work! I'll go this way...
And you kids!
Cheren and Belle, watch the museum for me!
Then Arti and White'll go search Yaguruma Forest!
Alright? Arti, you lead the way.
I'm beggin' you all!
(Aloe runs off.)
Arti: Well now... You're... White, then?
Well, shall we go? Let's do away with those thieves!
(Arti leaves.)
Belle: Oh, White! Take this with you!
It's a Dowsing Machine Makomo left with me!
[White obtained the Dowsing Machine!]
[White put the Dowsing Machine in the Key Items pocket.]
Using the Dowsing Machine won't let you see invisible items, but it will let you see their locations!
Cheren: Is it really... I don't know, safe to leave us protecting the museum for the time being...?
(Cheren goes inside.)
Belle: Oh, me too!
